Evening Commercial Cleaner (Manager Referral Required)

PJS is immediately hiring part time evening cleaners for several of our buildings all over Austin. This is perfect job for someone looking to supplement their income while keeping their weekends free for friends and family and avoiding big crowds! Part Time Evening Janitor/ Limpiador de Oficinas de Medio Tiempo

Type: Part-Time, City: Austin, Texas
Looking for supplemental income but want to keep your weekends free? Do you have reliable transportation?  Want to work part time evening hours, Monday-Friday? Look no further! PJS is immediately hiring evening janitors for several of our Austin buildings. This is a part time evening job with weekends off and pays between $13.50-$15.50 per hour, depending on building location. 

Job Overview: This person will be responsible for basic building cleaning. Tasks assigned may include restroom, kitchen, break area, and/or conference room cleaning, vacuum carpeted areas and general floor cleaning, trash removal, dusting and other additional duties as assigned. General Cleaners must be physically able to perform all the above listed tasks. 

Responsibilities and Duties May Include:

  • Cleaning, sanitizing, and restocking restroom(s) including but not limited to sinks, floors, mirrors, doors, counters and toilets. 
  • Cleaning, sanitizing, and restocking kitchen(s) including but not limited to sinks, doors, tables, counters, refrigerators, and floors. 
  • Cleaning and sanitizing break room(s) and/or conference room(s) and/or lobbies including but not limited to floors, tables, and chairs. 
  • General floor cleaning, including but not limited to mopping, sweeping, and vacuuming carpeted areas
  • Removing trash/trash bags and replacing trash bags. 
  • Removing trash and recycling from the building to assigned dumpsters. 
  • Additional duties as assigned may include but are not limited to dusting, window cleaning, and detailing. 
Qualifications:

Our commercial janitorial company is looking for a full time fully bilingual (Spanish and English) receptionist to join our growing team. Responsibilities:
Greet visitors and direct them to the appropriate person/process.

Full Job Description

PJS is looking for a Full-Time Bilingual (English/Spanish) HR Generalist to join our team. This position will be responsible for performing HR-related duties in the following functional areas: employee relations, leave administration, compliance, training, HRIS management and will support the Human Resources Manager executing the overall mission and vision of the PJS. This role carries out administrative work involving the human resources functions and maintains related records; develops and improves policies, programs, and procedures to improve the effectiveness of HR and Operations. 

Employee Relations

  • Maintains knowledge of labor laws, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Partners with leaders and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase retention, and foster a positive environment.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of policies as well as provides guidance, interpretation, and advice to leaders.
  • Partners with leaders to resolve employee relations or disciplinary issues.
  • Ensures that investigations are thorough and objective.
  • Conducts exit interviews.
  • Plans and executes employee events (Three major events per year: Spring Picnic, Backpack Giveaway and Holiday Party).
  • Assist in the development and implementation of a new Employee Recognition Program.
  • Conducts exit interviews.
  • Handles internal employee transfer requests.

Training & Development

  • Identifies training needs.

Data Maintenance

Participates in organizational committees and meetings as appropriate.

Requirements:

Floor Tech

Type: Full-Time, City: Austin, Texas
Looking to hire a full time Floor Tech to work approximately 30-40 hours per week at various buildings throughout Austin. Mileage reimbursement provided and commuting time paid.


Responsible for the overall floor maintenance of hard surface and carpet stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing and bonneting of areas that include offices, corridors, lobbies, entrances, and stairwells. Strip and wax floors, mop and clean floors, understand chemicals usage, vacuum offices and common areas. Operate chemical dispensing units. Other required duties may be assigned by the supervisor such as light maintenance and janitorial duties.


Duties:

• Provide slick floor services, such as stripping, waxing, spray buffing, sweeping, and mopping, to include proper edging on all floor surfaces;

• Used both high speed and low speed buffers and burnishing equipment on slick floors, applied proper chemical for stripping, waxing, and buffing of slick floors, using chemical safety;

• Used slow speed carpet bonneting machine on all carpeted floor, in a safe and efficient manner, cleans all carpet, used carpet extractor on all carpets as scheduled;
• Cleaned baseboards throughout the facility, responded to floor care emergency calls; such as, spills, body fluids, and markings, using proper equipment to clean area, always using universal precautions;

• Disinfected floor care equipment after each use, completed simple preventative maintenance tasks on floor care equipment, vacuumed all floors as scheduled;

• Move office furniture and supplies in order to clean;

• Complete work assignments on a timely manner;

• Utilize the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure;

• Follow all proper safety procedures.



Requirements:
• Minimum one year of experience as a floor technician is preferred but we are willing to train the right candidate;

• Must have driver’s license, clean driving record and be able to pass a criminal background check

• Wear company uniform while on duty.

• Ability to understand and follow directions from the Manager.

• Attend mandatory staff meetings

• Follow company policies and procedures

• Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, squat, twist, reach, pull and lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

Bilingual Project Manager (English/Spanish)

Bilingual (English/Spanish) Project Manager (Mobile)

Job Overview: We are seeking an individual with a background in janitorial project management to join our team. The Project Manager is responsible for staff management, quality control, inventory management, safety and compliance, scheduling and coordinating staff, reporting and documenting, training and development, problem solving skills, and is highly detail oriented. The Project Manager will also be responsible for overseeing and visiting multiple locations in the Austin area.

Reports To:  Their immediate Operations Area Manager.

Pay Rate: $20.00/hr - $24.00/hr DOE

 

Responsibilities and Duties May Include:

  • Supervise and train a team of janitors and cleaning staff in multiple locations.
  • Assign tasks and schedules to ensure efficient coverage across multiple locations.
  • Provide guidance and support to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleaning standards are met or exceeded.
  • Address any cleanliness or maintenance issues promptly and effectively.
  • Implement improvement plans based on feedback and performance evaluations with help of the Area Manager.
  • Monitor and manage cleaning supplies, equipment, and tools.
  • Coordinate with procurement to ensure an adequate supply of cleaning materials at all locations.
  • Maintain inventory records and notify the Area Manager when supplies are needed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations in all cleaning activities.
  • Train staff in the proper handling of chemicals and equipment to prevent accidents.
  • Maintain records of safety training and incidents, if any.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the janitorial teams in assigned locations.
  • Plan and organize cleaning schedules for different locations based on priority and needs.
  • Adjust schedules as necessary due to emergencies or special events.
  • Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities, inspections, and maintenance tasks.
  • Generate nightly reports on cleaning performance, issues, and improvements.
  • Provide reports to Area Manager as needed.
  • Identify training needs and provide ongoing training to staff on cleaning techniques, safety, and customer service.
  • Proactively identify challenges and help the Area Manager develop solutions to improve cleaning processes and efficiency.
  • Handle unexpected situations effectively, such as equipment malfunctions or staff shortages.
  • May perform additional responsibilities and duties as needed.

  • Must have janitorial/ custodian experience.
  • Must have 1-2 years of management or supervisory experience.
